Important message to all our members and users.
The Trustees have been in daily conference with regard to the ongoing situation, trying to follow the latest advice from central government. Today we have had to take the very sad and difficult decision to close the Leisure Centre for a minimum of 30 days starting from the end of this Friday’s evening session 20th March 2020.
We will of course continue to monitor the situation very closely and act accordingly as government instructions come down. Please note that if you have memberships you will not be out of pocket financially, we will simply extend your renewal date by any time lost. This will also apply if you have bought block sessions with time limits etc, these limits will be frozen and continue again when we re-open.
Please keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for updates, we will endeavor to keep you informed, and all members will receive an email shortly confirming the details. Please share this message to anyone you know who uses the centre and if you are in any doubt or have any questions at all, please just email the centre on firstname.lastname@example.org or message the Facebook page.
I’m sure this has come as no surprise, we have held on for as long as it felt wise to do so. But now to help battle this awful disease and to protect our own staff as well as the wider community it has become necessary to take these steps and close the doors.
We hope that you understand and support our decision – Stay safe, fit and well, look after your friends, family and neighbours and hopefully we will see you all again very soon.
Best wishes to you all
Chairman of the Trustees
